Under western eyes

By Joseph Conrad and originally published in 1911. Set in St Petersburg and is seen by some as a response by Conrad to Dostoevsky. The plot is about a young orphaned student who helps another student even though he does not agree with his actions. This is seen by some as Conrad's best work.
